Zyana — Privacy Policy

Zyana is a dog health & longevity companion app operated by AlphaPak (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because your dog’s health data is personal and we treat it that way.

What we collect

Account	Your email address (used to sign you in and send login codes).
Your dog’s profile	Name, breed, sex, birthday, weight, and target weight.
Health & activity logs	Weight, body- and muscle-condition entries, feeding, walks/exercise, stool, dental care, and notes or symptoms you record.
Photos	Photos of your dog you take or choose for the body-condition check.
Vet documents	PDFs or images of vet records, labs, or vaccine cards you upload, and the information read from them.
Diagnostics	Basic technical logs needed to run the service (e.g. counts of AI requests).

We do not collect location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

To provide the app: store your dog’s history, show trends and insights, and generate summaries and a vet-ready report.
AI features: your dog photos, uploaded documents, and log summaries are sent to our AI provider to estimate body condition, read documents, and write plain-language summaries.
To sign you in and send you a login code by email.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes your data

We use a small set of service providers who process data only to run Zyana on our behalf:

Supabase: database, file storage, and authentication.
Anthropic (Claude): AI processing of photos, documents, and summaries. Data sent through the API is not used to train their models.
Resend: sending your login-code emails.
Expo / EAS: app build and delivery infrastructure.
Apple: App Store and TestFlight distribution.

Each of these providers is bound by contract to protect your data to the same standard set out in this policy and to use it only to run Zyana on our behalf — not for their own purposes.

Storage & security

Data is encrypted in transit. Photos and vet documents are kept in private storage that only you can access, and database access is restricted per account. AI provider keys and credentials are never stored on your device.

Your choices & deletion

You can edit or remove individual entries in the app at any time. You can also delete your account from Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, your dogs, and everything you’ve logged or uploaded. If you share a dog with someone else, that dog stays available to them.

Data retention. We keep your dog’s profile, logs, photos, and documents for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your data from our live systems immediately; any residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting individual entries or your entire account.

Children

Zyana is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
